Dr. Dickson is Division Chief of Genetics and Genomic Medicine; and Centennial Professor of Pediatrics and Genetics in the division of Pediatrics at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She received her bachelor’s degree in Classics from the University of Chicago, and her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. Dr. Dickson’s main research focus is intra-cerebrospinal fluid (intraventricular and intrathecal) enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) for the mucopolysaccharidoses, with the goal of finding new and better treatments for patients. Her laboratory conducts bench-to-bedside research into treatments for MPS disorders.
